Requirements for Chauffeur Position
I. Chauffeur Position
a. This is an Independent Contractor position (I.C) (1099)
b. This is your business- Run it like a business
c. Cars are available only in 12 hour intervals a “1 shift”
d. Compensation
1. 30% of each run at the contracted rate plus 100% of the tips
2. You will be paid weekly (Every Friday)
a. The first check will be delayed two weeks
e. Requirements
1. Clean driving record (No suspensions, DUI’s, etc. )
2. No Felony Convictions
3. No Drug Use
4. Chauffeur License or equivalent (CDL)
5. Ability to cross the U.S. border
6. Must be able to read a map book
7. Must be able to read, write and speak the English Language
8. Must be at least 25 years of age
II. Training
1. You will spend at least three days on the road with a Veteran Driver
2. You will receive a copy of the Airport Procedures and Rules of Operation
3. You will learn how to adequately complete paperwork from trips
4. You will locate and memorize our contracted hotels and major locations throughout Metro Detroit
5. You will have an opportunity to become familiar with the on board computer system
III. Minimal Investment Required (Expenses to be paid by the I.C.)
1. Driver License Check ($10)
2. State of Michigan Criminal Background Check ($10)
3. Drug Screen from Concentra ($30.50) discounted rate for Metro Cars
4. Metro Airport will conduct a Felony Background Check and you will receive a Badge ($40) after training
5. Chauffeur License ($30)
6. Obtain the ability to cross U.S Border into Canada

a. Navy Blue Blazer
b. White Shirt
c. Black Shoes
d. Black Socks
e. Charcoal Grey Slacks or Skirts for Women

9. Operating cash to cover yourself for the first two weeks
a. Fuel for Sedan
b. Tolls
c. Client Change
IV. Process from start to finish
1. 1-1/2 to two weeks
